Hi there. My name is Jennie. I am an English tutor for high school students by day, a music addict/photograph enjoyer/reading enthusiast by night, a relaxation junkie by weekend, and a full-time proud owner of a six-year-old female Yorkie named Kayla, who has been a sweet part of my life since May 2012.

I live in Bandung, Indonesia, where I was born and have spent most of my life, and which has the best climate of all the cities in the world!
Bubble and Soap is a (mostly) weekly journal that I renewed one early morning in November 2013 after a two-year hiatus from blogging and journal writing. It now comes with a new appearance and fresh contents, most of which focus on the life I get to experience. Sometimes I also write personal reviews of music, articles, or photographs that I find impressive. You can read them under the "Memorable" category. Once in a while, I also include a few of my old posts labeled under the "Old Piece" category. They are posts from my previous blogs which I find too valuable to be left forgotten. The other categories, "Little Bubbles", "Love Fool", and "Taste of Life", are about trivial stuff, my personal love experience, and deeper reflections on life, respectively.

I also own a poetry blog, Verse Salad, which contains poems, micro poems and haiku about memories, love, people,
dreams, food, and any other titbits about life. Some of them are written in English, and some others (mostly
those written in my younger time) are in Bahasa Indonesia, which is my
mother tongue. Feel free to visit if you're in the mood for some verse.
